Best pawn shot in town! I would continue to go to Randy's and have not had any trouble from him. My friend and I have been customers of his for our golf gear and looking at possibly buying hunting supplies. Every time we go in his employees and him are always friendly and very fair with us. I have yet to have a bad experience
I’ve done business with Randy in this past year more than once and 2 weeks before Christmas he definitely earned not just business and respect but friendship he went above and beyond to make sure my fiancé got an almost brand new HP laptop 17.3 inch touch screen at that and just gave me a remarkable price and deal!!! Randy thank you so much buddy she definitely loves this laptop and again I look forward to doing future business with you hands down only pawn shop and gentleman I’ll always feel comfortable to do business with!!! Folks if you have never met or delt with Randy give him a try he’s not just in it for the money he understands and cares for people!!!
I understand you getting your buddies to attack me because of my review, after all you need to stay in business. I don't believe for a minute I misunderstood anything Randy. When we had the two piles we agreed on for the swap laid out and the mobile DVD player was in the pile you were to get, I don't believe for a minute you misunderstood my question when I asked "How much cash would you need if I keep the DVD player?". I have a college education with certification to teach advanced math through Calculus, as well as a teaching field in history so playing me off like some dim wit who can't follow a simple negotiation isn't going to fly. I've heard nothing concerning how you could have been the one who misunderstood the negotiation. If that was the case , perhaps admitting that possibility would have looked better here than having you buddies attack and demean me.
My first and last experience at this establishment involved a trade of various pieces of music gear for an amp he had on display. I presented over $600 worth of gear for him to choose what he wanted for a $300 Item($600 is a very conservative estimate). Knowing how pawn shops operate I expected him to want it all in return for his item and he did, except for a couple of less valuable items, worth about $80. I asked him how much difference would I have to pay if I kept one of the items he wanted to include in the trade. He told me $80 We finally settled on $60 and I paid him. He did not remove the item for which I had paid $60 to keep from the items which were his from the trade so I asked him if I got to keep the item I had just paid for. He said no. Because I know how pawn shops operate, I was not upset that he had tried to break it off in me getting so much merchandise plus some cash for his overpriced item. I could live with that, but when he claimed he got the item I had just made a deal with him to keep I was incensed. I got my money back and carried the car load of equipment back home I had worked all afternoon to sort and pack. I find it hard to believe someone in the pawn business for 28 years could get so far off base when making a trade. Either he understood what he was doing or something else is going on there. If you decide to do business there I would suggest you keep written notes during negotiations to avoid the deal changing after it is done. So much for trying to deal with a new pawn shop, I'll stay with the old ones rooted in reality who try to make fair deals. After I file this review I plan to buy the exact same item online for $50 cheaper. I will have to pick it up in Fayetteville but I will still have $600 worth of gear I can sell and I will be away from this economically deprived area and the people who profit from it for a while. Sorry this is so long but I wanted to be thorough and accurate. Thanks for reading!
Randy's Pawn - extremely personable. I was able to get exactly what I needed and felt like he did his best to be fair which I appreciated. I look forward to making more purchases from the shop as well in the future. Everything is neat, easy to find and you are greeted the moment you walk into the store. Thanks Randy!
