Came out to my job and completed job within 1 hour.
I had a chip in my windshield repaired. The communication between the servicemen and me about the service schedule was perfect and the repair is almost invisible. The biggest surprise was when I realized that they had cleaned my dash area and vacuumed my floorboards!
Call the number and you get the national call center. They are on the ball. Very positive and helpful and professional. However, once you get to the local guys, it's far less than satisfactory. The national folks promised (and scheduled) an on-site installation. The local guys said "no way". They mumble around and make excuses and generally aren't any better than average shade tree mechanics. Communication is poor. This is an example of a franchise that's good for advertising and attracting customers, but not much else. Safelite would be well served to send their CEO onto "Undercover Boss" so that the top brass could see what's it's really like on the front lines. They wouldn't be pleased with Fort Smith's operation.
Came put windshield in on Friday evening. Left rear view mirror and all my onstar wires hanging from windshield. I'm stuck driving without a rear view mirror and I have all these wires hanging making it unsafe. Executive offices couldn't get local owner to answer phone or email. Had to be scheduled for Monday evening. POOR SERVICE.
