Dr. Long is the worst doctor I’ve ever visited. I felt like he doesn’t care about his patients opinions, and I was worse than before I had surgery. Would never recommend him to anyone.
I had a very pleasant experience with the doctor.
The doctor was very rude and patronizing. My daughter has played sports her whole life and this was not her first injury, yet he talked down to her like she was not smart enough to know the difference. This was the second time she has seen him and both appointments were the same. I will NEVER go to this doctor again!
I was treated in late 2015 to early 2016 for a sciatic nerve problem by Dr. Thomas Cheyne, and Dr. Fisher, who administered a steroid shot to appease my pain. I found both doctors and staff to be very friendly and accommodating to my needs. I recently had what I thought was a "flare up" of the sciatica, so went to the Mercy Walk-in Clinic on McKnight Dr, and was told a referral was being made on my behalf and not known when I would hear. That was on Monday, 8/28/17. I received a call on Tuesday, 8/29/17, from a clerk giving me an appointment to see Dr. Cheyne on Wednesday, 9/13/17 @ 2:00 p.m. When I told this party that I needed to be seen SOONER as the pain was excruciating, it was like talking to someone with "deaf ears!" So I said "Thanks if that's the best you can do!" She said NOTHING that gave me the impression that she was going to assist me in getting into Dr. Cheyne sooner! By Thursday, 8/31/17, the pain had not subsided and only getting more intense despite the meds I had been prescribed by the walk-in clinic physician! So I took it upon myself, to go into River Valley Orthopedics Clinic to see if I could perhaps get someone to listen to me, instead of giving me "deaf ears"! I INDEED FOUND that person! Her name is Vannessa and is an intake receptionist! I told her my pain had been so intense for 4 days, I had not slept more than 10 hours total in that entire time period and was there any way I could be placed on a "wait list" should a cancellation occur and I would be able to come in ASAP to see Dr. Cheyne. She took the time to get my name and birthdate, and apparently saw that I indeed had an appointment for 9/13/17, and then told me that it appeared the doctor might have an opening or two that very afternoon, but that she could not give me the appointment, and since the staff were out to lunch, she would give them my name and telephone # with the message about my needing to be seen ASAP! I was contacted by Dr. Cheyne's nurse by 2:00 p.m. that very day and I had an appointment the next morning, and even had 2 new prescriptions, one of which gave me relief from the severe sciatic pain I had been experiencing. VANNESSA I CAN NEVER THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR HAVING A COMPASSIONATE HEART AND GETTING ME A FOOT IN THE DOOR for medical attention....IF ONLY THE PARTY WHO CALLED ME ON TUESDAY, August 29 with the 9/13/17 appointment had been as caring and compassionate!
Dr. Jones did my right total knée replacement and carpal tunnel surgery on both hands. I'm 34 year old female and took seeing 3 ortho docs before I found him and he watched my MRI and first asked how I was still walkout g and then said yes I'll do it!! He is great, he's very straight to the point and doesn't sugarcoat anything. He's been the best along with his PA Layne and his nursing staff as well. I always plan a 2 hrs wait at his appts cuz he's always running behind but I don't mind cuz he takes his time with you and listens so I don't mind d waiting on him!!!
