Rode the Christmas train and saw the Parks & Rec dept light show. Very nice. My 3 year old son loved it.
It's a pretty nice park, and does have tennis and ball courts as well as several playgrounds for any age. I ended up going in order to see the Christmas lights, and it was too crowded for my taste. Some of the displays were not working, and there was no guidance on the best way to walk through it. Several people were quite rude and would run me off my path, or not pay attention when I was taking pictures. Outside of that, it was a nice spot to go.
Debbie and I had a great evening here tonight. A cup of hot cocoa, cookies, a wonderful train ride and a slow walk thru the park to see all the Christmas lights set up there. This is a wonderful service and agreat benefit for our community. I hope you all got out for a ride.
My favorite park of all the parks in Fort Smith. It has a mini train, put putt, swimming pool, tennis court, walking and exercise trail, bird sanctuary, picnic tables, and its all very nice. Snow cones stand in the summer, public restroom, a bus stop, and its right across the street from the main library. Great for events as they have a event center that you can rent out and also gazebos.
Christmas exhibit is excellent after dark. The new train is good. Fun family outing. Beautiful light show.
