We loved this place. The grounds are beautiful. The exhibits were engaging. It is very clean. The staff was awesome! Must see!
Walk here almost every evening. Most beautiful view of the river in the evenings at sunset. Updates to trail lighting and historical markers are awesome. Great exercise trail while decompressing from a long day.
I'll start by saying I LOVE History. So, I'm sold off the bat. Park Ranger Cody's passion is inspiring. The combination of rich history & Ranger Cody's pure enthusiasm conveying that history is golden.
Super fun and interesting. We first saw a detailed video of the history of the town and it was very informative. We then saw the jail where they used to keep all of the criminals. It was very interesting. My two favorite parts were seeing Hanging Judge Parker's court room and the Gallows. To think that thousands of people were hung and killed there is just unbelievably sad and very cool at the same time. I would recommend a visit to this place for anyone of any age and gender.
I actually stopped here because I was looking for a place to picnic off of I-40. So it turned out to be a good place to stop for lunch. It was only a few minutes off of the interstate. And offered some interesting history and a good place to get in a walk before getting back on the highway. Everything was clean and everyone was helpful and nice.
