Nice museum which covers lots of interesting history of the barracks. The very friendly docent gave me a full tour even though I got there near closing time. And he took my picture with Elvis!
The Chaffee Crossing Historic District includes the Barbershop Museum (where Elvis got his famous hair cut when he joined the army) and Chaffee Museum. Camp Chaffee was built in the early 1940's to train World War II soldiers and it is an inspirational place. Don't miss the Veterans Day Parade in November. Last year more than 700 floats participated in honoring our Veterans.
Nice place to visit a lot of history. Its one thing to do on a Saturday.
Love the history
