Great service, great breakfast, fair price. You leave full and happy... especially when you are there when well-behaved kids are also there.
We’ve never had a problem at Denny’s, except today. When my sister and I got there we first ordered drinks, one coke and one vanilla milkshake. 10 minutes later we got a flat coke.. like extremely flat. Asked if we could get a refill with regular coke, came back 20 minutes later. Also the drinks came with no straws. I do so wish I could post pictures so you guys could see how the food came out. I ordered the Steak Skewer and eggs. On the menu it looks big enough to feed two people, when it came . out it literally had 5 potatoes, two onions pieces and the kabob, I’m still hungry. The service was horrible absolutely terrible. $10 for a meal my 1 year old nephew would still be hungry after eating. The food itself was good just not enough for a 16 y/o. Also I know I don’t write in chronological order but the bottom of the skillet was burnt so that didn’t help
The food was excellent -- BUT -- when we were there on 12/4/17 we were IGNORED for the first 10 minutes we were there. THere were THREE waitresses working all around us and they SAW us sitting there, but not one of them spoke to us until my husband said aloud, "Let's just go somewhere else", and then one of the waitresses came to the table and didn't smile or make us feel at all welcome, just asked us what we would like. We went ahead and ordered because we were hungry but our meal came out in phases -- not at all the way it should have. I had asked for 2 sausages with my meal but I had to ask again when my meal was brought. The attitudes of the waitresses left A LOT to be desired. I have worked in the food services field and a smile would NOT have been that difficult. I got the distinct impression that there was some sort of friction between the three waitresses, but that should NEVER be taken out on a customer. It's not like we were placed in an out-of-the-way place either. We were in the MIDDLE of the front dining area near the cash register. It was almost as if they WANTED us to leave. We have decided that we will NOT be returning to this establishment. There are plenty of other restaurants in that area and we will frequent them instead. We can't fault the cleanliness or the atmosphere. We had even bragged on the staff the first two times we were in there and the food is EXCELLENT. The cooks are great. But I will NOT frequent a place that makes me feel like they would prefer I just leave. We are an older couple and eating out, for us, is something we take great pleasure in -- but not when we're made to feel like we aren't wanted and that is exactly how we felt on 12/4/17. We didn't leave a tip because the service was so lousy. I thought of leaving a penny -- it's a message to the wait staff that their service left much to be desired. But I was in the restroom when my husband paid our ticket and went outside to the car and he said he just wanted to get out of there. I felt the same and left as soon as I came out of the restroom. We won't be back -- EVER.
Just visited this place and my guest was told that her iced coffees received free refills, though the waitress said that was not the norm. So, she had three refills, for which we were charged! I would be okay if the refills cost if you hadn't said otherwise. My husband was suppose to have a glass of juice intruded in the price of the meal too, but they charged us for that as well. When my husband brought up the discrepancies the manager did his "used car salesman" song and dance and refused to correct the discrepancies.
The food was just okay. When my dad was fighting cancer, my parents came here after each chemo treatment. I'd thought it would be a tribute to him to eat dinner here with family. However, it is not worth going back, even for the memories, to a place that doesn't value integrity.
Denny's has ALWAYS been good to me! Literally speaking AND the obviously, the service to me/for me is also good. Alisha is one of the many best servers that I've ever encountered. GREAT service. GREAT atmosphere. GREAT food! Thanks Denny's in FSM, AR!
